It’s been awhile. Not only a pandemic, but just forgetfullness. Anyway, wrapping up year 35. It’s been a challenge. Got a dye-sub printer this year, so that was the highlight. Loving what we can do with it.
Another Semester…
Well, another semester is almost done and, as usual, I’ve been too busy to really post much on here. Teaching takes up most of my time. It’s been a great semester, really some of the best classes I’ve ever had. Who say’s that the “old” teachers are the “bad” ones?
Lots of stuff
Processing sketches
My Exploring CS class has been learning a bit about programming with Processing. Lots of fun!Just an example
Teachers in Industry
Went to the Teachers in Industry event at the ISD. Reinforced that what I am doing is the right stuff. Sometimes that’s the best thing you get out of these things.
The Right Stuff
Blast-off!

2019-20 Tech ED
Here we go! I say this every year, but I’m really gonna try to keep this blog updated with the stuff going on in my classes this year.
We started off a little differently this year, with stations instead of just listening to me go over the syllabus and course outline and rules. Trying out a new app called Padlet (at least new to me). Kinda fun!
January
The month of January was…interesting. When we did have school, we started 2nd semester, which means all new classes. World of Technology 1st and 2nd hrs, Exp Tech II 3rd and 4th, and Exp Tech 6th hr. World of Tech is finishing up our Engineering Structures unit, where students build a balsa wood bridge and test for efficiency. Pre-Engineering Exp Tech II classes were charged with designing and building a package to protect an un-cooked egg from 3 tests, and Exp Tech started the semester with Screen Printing/Brochures. We’re a bit behind schedule, but still had a lot of fun!
